Darshan Automotive Industries specializes in manufacturing Stainless Steel Fasteners that are mainly processed from 300 series Austenitic Stainless Steel as raw materials. The standard chemical composition of this type of Stainless Steel is 18%(Cr) and 8%(Ni). So it is also popularly known as 18-8 Stainless Steel. It is a kind of superior grade material which conforms to environmental protection.

   

The Austenitic Stainless Steel Fasteners manufactured by Darshan Automotive Industries contains excellent properties of corrosion resistibility and cold-working ability. In low-temperature conditions, it maintains the ability to prevent embrittlement and phase change from happening. Even at high-temperature condition, the embrittlement is also very rarely happened. However the Austenitic Stainless Steel can't be hardened by heat treatment, it needs to be done through cold work to enhance its hardness and strength. The Austenitic Stainless Steel is non-magnetic under normal conditions, but it normally become slightly magnetic after cold working. To overcome this problem, the processed parts are passivated to remove free ions that get stuck on the metal surface during production.
